Current understanding in CO2 emissions

Within the framework of the different standards Fri-Jado must be aware of where CO2  emissions in the company are created and where it has the influence has to reduce them. The following tables provide the first data regarding the base year 2009:

2009
    CO2-emission [ton]
Total scope of 1 and 2 5.462,2
Scope 1: Direct emission 3.548,2
Scope 2: Indirect emission 1.914,0

2009
  CO2-emission [ton]
Scope 1: Direct emission 3.548,2
Combustioin by stationary sources 970,7
Airco and cooling equipment 13,0
Owned car fleet 2.564,5

2009
  CO2-emission [ton]
Scope 2: Indirect emission 1.914,0
Electricity usage 1.749,9
Private car for business use 44,8
Business flying 119,3

The table shows that the largest emission is caused by auto mileage (using its own fleet). This provides 72% of Scope 1 emissions (direct emissions) and 47% of the total emission of scope I and II. The electricity consumption of the buildings and the factory is the largest polluter. This provides 91% of emissions of scope II (indirect emissions) and 32% of the scope I and II emission.
